How many kids should I invite and how long should the party last?

A great rule of thumb for the number of children to invite is to double your child's age. For a 4 year old, eight guests is usually perfect for a birthday party, and 10 guests is great for a 5 year old, etc.. Too many kids can be really stressful and overwhelming not just to the parents but to the birthday child as well. I've been recommending these numbers for years and it has always worked out great. Two hours is the average length of the party.

Should I have Professor Dan perform magic at the beginning of the birthday party or at the end?

It is best to have Danny perform at the beginning of the birthday party BUT, make sure you give the guests time to arrive. If the party starts at noon you will want to schedule Professor Dan for 12:15 or even 12:30 to make sure the guests have time to arrive. Danny usually arrives 10 to 15 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin so that he has enough time to set up all of his tricks.

Will the adults enjoy the magic show?

Absolutely! There is a lot of comedy written into the show that is designed to involve the adults in the show and the magic is pretty good as well! Adults always have fun watching the show. It is also a good idea to have at least one adult in the room when Professor Dan is performing to help with the children should any get too excited.

Does Professor Dan perform for Cub Scouts and the annual Blue and Gold events?

You bet! Professor Dan has a blast performing for scouts of all ages. He always enjoys cub scout Blue and Gold events and has even performed for the Boy Scouts and Order of the arrow events!

Absolutely! Professor Danny Hustle has performed fundraisers for PTOs and schools for many years! His full evening one hour family magic show is always a blast!

Is it okay to hand out food during the show?

Handing out anything during the show is a huge distraction particularly for younger kids. Please wait until after the show to serve food, drinks, and snacks, as Danny has kids up as helpers and in the excitement food will go everywhere. Also some parents like to get plastic top hats and plastic wands from the party store to give to the kids. These are GREAT but please hand them out after the show. Danny's show is designed to have the kids participate using hands and fingers and the wands and hats are a big distraction.

Is Professor Dan insured?

Professor Dan the magic man is fully insured by Specialty Insurance Agency. Should your event require a certificate naming your venue or event one can be provided to you at no additional charge.

Should I tip Professor Dan?

Tipping is always appreciated but, never expected.

Can I have the show outside?

Weather permitting you bet! Danny's show does require a flat area to set up and preferably some shade. As well as rain wind can be an issue with the show so if it is too windy please plan accordingly.

Professor Dan is a regular entertainer at Faneuil hall marketplace and has been street performing for many years.
